Red Kite Marks the 16 Days of Activism
at Gosling Sports Centre
We recently had the distinct privilege of attending all genders tournament at the Gosling Sports Centre, an event dedicated to marking the global “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.” The ladies won the female tournament.
It was a day of high energy and incredible skill, but more importantly, it was a day of solidarity. Red Kite was honoured to be the only charity invited to this significant event. This exclusive invitation gave us unprecedented access to speak with players of both genders throughout the tournament.
We want to extend a massive congratulations to the winners of the ladies’ tournament! Your performance was outstanding, but your participation in such a vital cause is what truly makes you champions.
Being able to engage directly with the athletes allowed us to have open, honest conversations about the importance of ending violence against women and girls. Seeing the sporting community come together, men and women alike to support this message was truly inspiring.
Thank you to Gosling Sports Centre for hosting us and to every player who took the time to speak with the Red Kite team. Together, we are making a difference.
