During his career he worked predominantly in commercial and marketing roles based in the UK and Ireland. He worked for 16 years at Director level for a dairy ingredients supplier and manufacturer based in North Hertfordshire with a multimillion pounds turnover.
He is proud to be the parent of four grown-up children. Having three daughters and two granddaughters he became more aware of the prevalence of sexual abuse and rape in society and started to consider its impact in a more personal way. The more he learned the more appalled he became and this made him feel that more ought to be done to counteract its effects. He did some research and was made aware that Red Kite had recently become operational so he decided to become a Fundraising Trustee where he felt he could use his skills to make a significant contribution. He is deeply committed to the development of the charity which is based and we cover the whole of Hertfordshire and West Essex to contribute to the healing of survivors by raising sufficient funds to ensure there are services available for them to access when they need them.
